Terms of Service

#Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using any product, application, or service provided by INTERAKTIV AUDIO LIMITED ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our products.

#Products and Services

We provide iOS, Mac and Windows applications for live DJ performance and digital sample packs for music production. Our products are distributed through the Apple App Store, the Microsoft Store and our website.

#Purchases and Payments

  • App Store purchases are processed by Apple and subject to Apple's terms. Refund requests for App Store purchases must be directed to Apple.
  • Website purchases (sample packs, digital products) are processed by Stripe. All prices are listed in the applicable currency at the time of purchase.
  • Our apps are sold as one-time purchases. We do not offer subscriptions unless explicitly stated.
  • Interaktiv Bridge, our Windows companion app, is free. There is nothing to buy in it and it carries no purchases of its own.

#License

Upon purchase, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use our software and digital products for their intended purpose.

  • Apps — You may install and use the app on devices you own, subject to Apple's usage rules.
  • Interaktiv Bridge — Free to install and use on computers you own or control, subject to the Microsoft Store's usage rules. It is licensed, not sold, on the same terms as the rest of our software.
  • Sample packs — You may use the included audio samples in your own music productions and live performances, including commercial releases. You may not resell, redistribute, or repackage the samples as standalone sample packs or sound libraries.

#Interaktiv Tap (iPad)

Interaktiv Tap is free to download and free to play in 15-minute demo sessions — the whole instrument, not a reduced one. A session pauses the surface after 15 minutes; relaunching the app starts another. Two things remove that limit:

  • The 7-day free trial — everything unlocked for seven days, offered when you set the app up and from its Settings at any time. It runs once per Apple ID, and the App Store keeps that record, so it survives reinstalling the app and moving to a new device.
  • Version 1 Unlock — a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It removes the session limit and includes every update we make to version 1, up to but not including version 2.0. It is verified on your device from your App Store receipt: there is no account, nothing to renew, and nothing of ours to go offline. One purchase covers your own devices and your household through Apple's Family Sharing; the trial itself is per person.

Purchases and refunds are Apple's, as set out above. If you bought Interaktiv Tap while it was a paid download, you already own version 1 and the app unlocks itself from that original receipt.

#Interaktiv Bridge (Windows)

Interaktiv Bridge carries MIDI between an iPad and DJ software over a USB cable. Three of the things it does touch your computer rather than only itself. Two of them happen only when you ask:

  • Installing the Windows MIDI service. The app can download Microsoft's runtime and install it for you. It does so only when you press the button that offers it, Windows asks for your approval, and the runtime remains Microsoft's software under Microsoft's terms.
  • Repairing Windows' MIDI routing. The app can restore the setting that routes older MIDI software to that service. It does so only when you ask, it tells you what it will change before it changes anything, and Windows asks for your approval.

The third happens by itself, each time the app starts, and asks nothing:

  • Declaring its own MIDI port. The app adds one entry — the port your iPad plays through — to Windows' own MIDI configuration, merging into it and leaving every other entry alone, and it keeps a copy of that file as it was before its first change. No approval is asked because Windows already allows a signed-in user to make it. This is what puts the port in place before either program is running, so your DJ software finds it whether or not the app is open; it is checked again at every start, because an entry removed elsewhere would otherwise fail silently.

The app also starts with Windows, which you can switch off in Windows' own startup settings. It is provided free and without warranty, like the rest of our software, and the sections below apply to it in full.

#Intellectual Property

All content, code, designs, trademarks, and audio material remain the property of INTERAKTIV AUDIO LIMITED unless explicitly stated otherwise. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble our applications, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits it.

#Trademarks

We name other companies' products only to say what ours work with. Interaktiv Audio is an independent company, not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of them.

  • Traktor and Native Instruments are trademarks of Native Instruments.
  • Apple, the Apple logo, AirDrop, App Store, iPad, iPadOS, iPhone, Lightning, Mac and macOS are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries.
  • Microsoft, Microsoft Store and Windows are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies.
  • Other product and company names on this site are trademarks of their respective owners.

#User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use our products for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to circumvent any licensing or copy-protection mechanisms.
  • Redistribute or sublicense our products without written permission.

#Disclaimer of Warranties

Our products are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of our software.

#Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, INTERAKTIV AUDIO LIMITED shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our products. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific product giving rise to the claim.

#Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict your access to our services if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your license to use our products is revoked.

#Third-Party Services

Our products may integrate with or rely on third-party services (Apple, Microsoft, Stripe, Cloudflare). Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third-party services.

#Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.

#Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms at any time by posting the updated version on this page. Material changes will be indicated by an updated effective date. Continued use of our products after changes constitutes acceptance.
